Julia Smuts Louw is a screenwriter with a focus on animation.

Julia’s work has appeared on Nickelodeon Africa, Disney XD Africa, eTV and M-Net and has won recognition from the Annecy Mifa International Pitch Focus, WeScreenplay, and The WGSA Muse Awards, and the 48 Hour Music Video Project.

Also a Rolex Mentor and Protege Initiative nominee, in her spare time, Julia runs Draw for Life, a pro bono initiative introducing at-risk teens to the art of drawing for animation. Julia also produces and hosts a podcast for Animation SA.
