Terry Iland is a novelist and acclaimed director.

Terry was born in Ireland and moved to London to work in theatre and television. During his acting career, Terry appeared at theatres like The Royal Court and the Newcastle Playhouse. On television, he acted in GRANADA and FALLEN HERO. He was also a series regular on THE BALLYSKILLEN OPERA HOUSE.

Terry is also an award-winning director who has directed almost 200 hours of TV and film. This includes episodes for EASTENDERS, EMMERDALE and CASUALTY, amongst other dramas for BBC and ITV. He has also done commercials for various international companies and pop promos for popular music acts like Fine Young Cannibals, Icicle Works and After the Fire.
