
Lindsay Sedgwick is a children’s writer and award-winning screenwriter.
Lindsay has written four books for children and two for young adults, as well as a non-fiction manual on character-driven screenwriting. She is also a playwright whose plays have been shown in Ireland and the UK, and on BBC Radio 4. She holds an MA in Screenwriting for Film & TV from Leeds Metropolitan University and has taught screenwriting for over two decades. She is currently adapting her novel DAD’S RED DRESS into an eight-part TV series for Tailored Films.
Lindsay has worked in film & TV and animation in Ireland and internationally. She is the creator of the widely-viewed and ground-breaking PUNKY, the first mainstream animation series whose main character has special needs. Her other screen credits include WILDERNUTS, SCRATCH SATURDAY, and FAIR CITY. She is also the founder of the Creatives in Animation Network.
