Jeremy Daniel

Jeremy Daniel is an author and a scriptwriter for film and television.

Jeremy is the author of a series of YA non-fiction books for Jonathan Ball Publishing: the ROAD TO GLORY biographies of South African sporting heroes. His adult biography SIYA KOLISI: AGAINST ALL ODDS (Jonathan Ball Publishing) is a number one best-seller. Jeremy’s children’s book MY FOREVER FRIEND, a subtle and moving exploration of identity and learning to love oneself, is published by Tafelberg Press. Jeremy adapted the book for the stage at Cape Town’s Baxter Theatre Centre. 

Jeremy was Head Writer for two seasons of TAKALANI SESAME and a scriptwriter for a number of television soap operas, magazine shows, and children’s adventure shows for SABC and ETV including BACKSTAGE and MUVHANGO. Jeremy has a degree in copywriting, and a scriptwriting diploma from the New York Film Academy. Jeremy was a founding member of the 90s indie-rock band FETISH, touring extensively and releasing a number of critically acclaimed albums for Virgin / EMI.
