Jeremy Daniel is a scriptwriter for film and television. He is also the author of the children’s book MY FOREVER FRIEND, a subtle and moving exploration of identity and learning to love oneself, published by Tafelberg Press, which he went on to adapt for the stage at Cape Town’s Baxter Theatre Centre.
Jeremy has a degree in copywriting, and a script writing diploma from the New York Film Academy.
Jeremy was Head Writer for two seasons of ‘Takalani Sesame’, and a scriptwriter for a number of television soap operas, magazine shows, and children’s adventure shows for SABC and ETV including ‘Backstage’ and ‘Muvhango’.
More recently, Jeremy completed a feature script for Karoo Films’ upcoming production ‘Barnard’, on the life of Dr. Chris Barnard the doctor who performed the world’s first successful heart transplant. He is also in development on an animated series of MY FOREVER FRIEND for Nickelodeon.
Jeremy was a founding member of 90s indie-rock band Fetish, touring extensively and releasing a number of critically acclaimed albums for Virgin / EMI.
